During the summer I have been helping my mom out with lots of things that I never used to help her with. Doing these things make me feel good about myself. I hope to continue this year around.

Caring for the dogs
Submitted by hammie on Sat, 07/18/2009 - 8:10am.Took my son's dogs for an extra walk while he was at work while visiting him in California. Also, talked him into taking the dogs out for an extra bathroom visit late last night when we got home from having massages so the dogs could have a more comfortable night. Even though they could have waited until morning, I felt they would have a more peaceful night of sleep if they were relieved.
I Always Make a Habit
Submitted by caring1 on Fri, 07/17/2009 - 9:43pm.I always make a habit to praise any store clerk, customer service rep. etc., who have been polite and demonstrate they care about giving "good customer service". I usually write an e-mail or ask for the manager in charge. When the manager discovers I am there to complement and praise with specifics about their employee, the manager is overwhelmed and states that most people only complain! Sad that we don't recognize the greater good - and how quick we are to complain and slow to complement.
I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up
Submitted by hammie on Fri, 07/17/2009 - 9:50am.Was at the airport flying out to California to visit with my son. I was sitting beside a lady waiting for my flight in the terminal who was crocheting. She was an elderly lady and dropped her hook and I could see her struggling to find it on the floor under the chair. I asked her what she was looking for and found it way under the chair for her. We started chatting about crocheting so besides helping her find her hook I also gave her some company since she appeared to be traveling alone as I was.
Sharing Art
Submitted by PBun on Thu, 07/16/2009 - 7:03pm.One of my buddies likes to write lyrics but doesn't play an instrument, and he asked if i wanted to come over and play guitar while he worked out some lyrics. It wasn't something i really wanted to do, just because i usually like to play and work on my own lyrics, but i went over to play for him because he is a good friend of mine and I wanted to help him out however I could. It ended up being really theraputic for me to just focus on playing guitar, cause lord knows i need the practice. A good time was had by all, and i can't wait to go over and jam with him again.

Lending a Hand at Work
Submitted by JulieNewcomer on Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:16am.Today at work, we are having a very, very expensive focus group for highly respected doctors. The person in charge decided to call out sick...needless to say, there were many things left undone. In addition to this, the sound system in the focus room was not working and no one was available to help out. I decided to put off my work for the day (I can take it home and do it tonight) and help out. I set up the room, picked up the food, and made the arrangements for the doctors. They are arriving in 15 minutes and everything is ready. Everyone at work i
Making It Less Expensive...
Submitted by GoodDeeder on Thu, 07/16/2009 - 6:56am.As many of you know, 50% of ALL membership and products sales from AGlobalGarden.com go directly to a "good deed" charitable organization. My intention for creating this Website is to have millions of people become members, so A Global Garden can donate massive amounts of money to the organizations in the world who are making a Big difference. Originally, the one time membership fee (to become a LIFETIME member) was set at $25.
Lost and Found
Submitted by AlanGeorge on Wed, 07/15/2009 - 6:44pm.Today I was walking into work and noticed somebody walking in the parking lot with a look on their face that told me... "I have no idea where I am right now." So I just stopped and asked the older lady if she needed any help, and that I will try and do my best to assist her in any way I can. She was trying to find a certain entrance to get to an appointment and was unfamiliar with the building. I asked her to follow me and I led her to the correct area and then showed her who to ask if she needed help again.
